A Cute Little Owl Pouch

Jace's bus driver's birthday is today and so I had to come up with a quick birthday present for her.

Tracy liked the owl hats that I made so I made this little owl pouch for her.

It fits a cell phone or iPod.

I really hope she likes it.  I think it's pretty cute!

I think I'll be making some more up today.

I think they'd be a cute little gift bag for gift cards or little treasures.

Hand Crocheted Tawashi for Dishwashing

I use these everyday! They last a long time!

Crocheted tawashi for dishwashing.  Machine washable and can go in the dryer, but colors will fade some.  A friend says she throws hers in the dishwasher to wash it.  I don't have a dishwasher so I don't know for sure how this works.

Listing is for ONE tawashi

Tawashi is approx a 5 inch circle

Small Drawstring Gift Bag in Baseball Fabric

Handmade reusable, lined drawstring gift bag made out of Baseball fabric. The bag is big enough to hold several baseball cards, a baseball or other little treasures.

The front of the bag is patchwork and machine quilted to a piece of cotton flannel. The back is a piece of fabric with baseballs on it and the lining is from a thrifted (washed) sheet.

I crocheted a drawstring so when pulled will keep the bag shut.

Bag is approx. 5 1/2 x 7 inches.

Machine washable and dryer safe

Mini Drawstring Bag in Baseball Fabric

My picture has a basketball card, well, because I couldn't find any baseball cards at the moment. So try to pretend it's a baseball card (card NOT included)

Handmade reusable, lined drawstring gift bag made out of Baseball fabric. The bag is big enough to hold several baseball cards or other little treasures.

I crocheted a drawstring so when pulled will keep the bag shut.

Bag is approx. 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.

Machine washable and dryer safe

Mini Patchwork Gift Bag in Denim

This bag is handmade by me, Sherry, and it is the perfect size for things like a gift card, box of 24 crayons (not included), votive candle or any other small gift you would like to put in it. The bag makes a great gift, gift wrap or door prize. The bag can be reused or passed on with another gift.

Bag is approx. 4 1/2 x 4 inches and the handle is approx. 7 inches long. The handle is sewn on securely and all inside seams are double stitched. The front and back of the bag are machine quilted to a piece of flannel and then lined with another piece of fabric.

The denim is from a pair of recycled jeans and the lining is from a thrifted sheet.  Both were washed before using.

Crayons not included.

Machine washable and dryer safe

Stuffed Carrots

This cute carrot is great for putting in a basket for an Easter decoration or for just a pretty basket filler.

I would NOT recommend small children playing with these. I did put a dab of glue on the green topper as well as wrapping it tight with thread, BUT I still wouldn't let little ones chew on them.

Each carrot is approx. 5 1/2 inches long not including the jute greenery.

Rag Rugs....Love them!

Here's my latest crocheting "addiction".  I've been crocheting Rag Rugs.  I buy sheets at the thrift store, wash them, tear them into strips, sew them together and crochet.  Time consuming, but with beautiful results.

Enjoy!

Coming soon!

HO, HO, HO!
Merry Christmas!

I just finished this little purse for Christmas. It can be for little girls or for bigger girls who still believe or just believe in fun!! It's lined with a piece of Christmas fabric and the felt eyes and nose are glued on as well as stitched for extra security. I'm going to add a snap to the top that will be under the Santa Hat so it won't be seen.

Some Patterns I just Bought

These are some new patterns I just bought today.
I'm going to be making them up in the next couple of days and see how they fit and then I'll show you some more pictures.

Inspired by Mary J. Blige

The flower doesn't have to be added.

I think this one resembles the one that Grandma made maybe a little more than the other ones I made???

I thought this would be warm and snug and stay on better than a scarf.
